WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • HOLY SCRIPTURE
We believe the sixty-six books Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible Word of God and are inerrant. These books are God’s final Word to us. Sufficient for all things pertaining to our lives and the only rule and authority in faith and practice. (John 16:12-15, 2Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
  • ONE TRUE GOD
We believe there is one true God who is infinite, all-knowing, everywhere-present, all-powerful, Creator of heaven and earth. Worthy of all honor and glory. The one true God who has eternally existed Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with distinct personal attributes but without division of nature, essence, or being. (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 44:6; 1 Tim. 2:5). Father God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history. He is Sovereign over all the universe. From every atom to every galaxy, all things are under His authority and perfect plan. Son Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is completely God and completely man. He is perfectly without sin. He died on the cross satisfying God's wrath towards sin as the perfect sacrifice for sin. Which now enables mankind, through Jesus, to experience such great salvation. After three days, Jesus resurrected from the dead, conquering death. He now reigns supreme over all creation while sitting at God's right hand. Upon His future return to earth, He will act as the final just judge of all the world. Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination, He enables men to understand truth.
  • FALL OF MAN
We believe the first man and woman voluntarily rebelled against God and thus have come under divine judgment. Mankind has inherited this sinful nature since its fall and is in absolute need of the Savior. (Gen. 1:26-27; 3:6-7; Rom. 3:23, 5:12).
  • WAY OF SALVATION
We believe that while mankind has openly transgressed the laws of God, thus why the Lord put into effect a plan of redemption. This plan involved Christ’s voluntary action to suffer by death the punishment for human sin even though He Himself was sinless. This plan was predetermined and directed by God’s love for us. This great Salvation of sinners is entirely by God’s grace and can only be experienced through repentance and faith toward Jesus. Salvation is a free gift of eternal life. In this way, an individual is forgiven of sin, receives the Holy Spirit, and becomes a child of God for all eternity. (John 1:12, 3:16; 6:27-29; Rom. 6:23, 10:9-10; 2 Cor. 5:21; Eph. 2:8-9).
  • EVANGELIZATION OF THE WORLD
We believe we must take seriously the Great Commission of Christ. Therefore, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to proclaim the Good News of Christ to the lost, both at home and abroad, to disciple believers in the Christian faith, and to encourage believers to unite with a local body of believers. (Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15).
  • PRIESTHOOD OF BELIEVERS
We believe that every person can approach God directly through Christ without the aid of any human priests. (1 Peter 2:4-10; Heb. 10:19-20).
  • CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
We believe that membership in the church is reserved for those who have been regenerated through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and have openly professed faith through the public act of baptism by immersion subsequent to conversion. (Acts 2:41, 8:36-38).
